Recently inspired by George Greenough, Ellis adjusted fin designs and foils to find the ideal setup for his boards. After a beautiful swell on the North Coast, the Ellis Twin is the result.

 

. Large base for increased drive

. Upright rake for tighter turning arcs

 

A wide base with a sharp curve on the trailing edge helps in several ways. The base area provides more room in the tail for foot adjustment. A 70/30 foil offers control during turn transitions, allowing water to grip both sides of the fin. This maximizes the stall time before cavitation and facilitates recovery after tail slides.
